About this place
Pick familiar favourites such as black-pepper pork belly and rolled omelette, then add scooped yuba and dengaku-glazed wheat gluten cake to sample a few obanzai small plates. One diner said they particularly enjoyed the pork belly and tofu dishes; another remembered the seasoning of the rolled omelette. The spring rolls, generously filled with prawns and vegetables, have also drawn comments about the size of the prawns and the local vegetables. For a classic choice, the menu lists black-pepper pork belly at ¥830 and the spring rolls at ¥830.
Sake is another part of the menu to explore. The list includes Junmai Ginjo Jurakudai and Junmai sake Utsukushii Kamogawa from Sasaki Brewery, as well as Hakurei Brewery’s Shuten Doji. One diner recalled sharing their preferences and having a sake selected for them. After a few small plates, finish with ochazuke, with a choice of seaweed or pickled plum, or kayaku rice served with pickles. There is room to plan the meal right through to its final course.
A diner reported that the menu was available only in Japanese, and some have used a translation app on their phone. Asking about the dishes or sake as you choose is another way to enjoy a meal here.
